A DAY AT A SPORT CENTRE

A new sport centre has recently open in the middle of my town. I went there with a group of friends. The sports centre has a great number of facilities. Although they had several problems, it was overall pretty good. The place looked really nice and a good choice of activities and classes.

The facilities comprises an variety of venues such as swimming pool. Swimming pool is construct with the cool blues tiles that enhance of water in the pool. Looking out at the pool the water looked almost as blue as the sky that day scattered with many unnoticeable heads inside of it. People there diving in the pool and splashing the water to others. They seems to enjoy splashing on their. Beside that, you could smell the clhorine in the water from the parking lot. Pool keeper tell us to made sure to put on some sun block so that we wouldn’t pay for our day in the sun later. The age, sex, and racial differentials in swimming participation are conditioned by the availability of swimming infrastructure and the principle of social exclusivity that limits access of lower status groupings, even where pools and programs are available. However, there are some rules where on certain days only qualified people are given the opportunity to use this facility.

Next, a gymnasium is where people go to train and exercise but also unwind and socialize. The design of this gym is simple, populate a building with the necessary equipment for a variety of physical activities, attracting people who want to get that perfect body or even just get back in shape. However, there are some gym equipment that cannot be used by some people with disabilities. This will cause difficulties for people with disabilities to exercise and do vigorous activities like normal people due to unsophisticated and suitable equipment. In addition to that, I also visited other sports facilities such as a very big stadium and at that moment the match was going on. We can smell the freshly cooked hot dogs and burgers on the grills and we also can hear over confident fans of both teams giving their predictions and unknowledgeable analysis on the matchup. At the same time, this stadium also has some shortcomings because there should be more places available for disabilities people just like normal people.

From my observation so far, the responsible party must care and be fair to all people either they are disabled or normal people.

INTEGRATING PEOPLE WITH DISABILITIES SPORT IN UNIVERSITIES AND SCHOOLS

Sports is one of the most important and successful tools that can be used to integrate individuals with different disabilities in society. Everyone has the right to practice sports, so our role, as coaches or friends must be of guiding and advising such individuals on how to join the sports field. Apart from keeping the body healthy, participating in sports can also strengthen the relationship between disabled people and normal people. However, someone with a disability is studying at school or university may feel that they cannot play sports for the following reasons.

First, they don’t believe in themselves and their ability to do any activities because of the disability. Hence, we as friend need to strive to addresses these challenges by conducting activities inside school or universities which highlight people with disabilities. This platform could also include a section for people with disabilities, so that they can realize the possibilities for them in sports. There are several ways to encourage people with disabilities to engage in sports especially for school and university students include allowing them to participate in sporting activities while making awareness programs for normal people on how to integrate disabled people in sporting activities. Furthermore, creating a sports league that include a group of physical activities where both disabled and normal people practice with each other.

Next, their family does not believe that sport can be used as tool to intergrate them into society. Despite that, not all parents do not support them to get involved in sports because some of them  realize there are some benefits when they get involved into this sports. To solve this problem, we can create a special program for players to train them on how to include people with disabilities in training in cooperation with Paralympic and Special Olympic federations. Beside that, we should creating separate program for families  of people with disabilities to show them the safe environment that sport can offer to their children. The idea for intergration is focusing on giving individuals with disabilities a leadership role during training which would increase their self confidence.

In conclusion, we need to support and engage with people with disabilities to give them more confidence. It is imperative that in developing countries, as much support is extended to organizations that work with people with disabilities. Finally, sporting organisations should developed programmes for athletes with disabilities with the intention of attracting more athletes to experience a whole new world.
